The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
